Based in York, Maine and with clients primarily in Boston, Connecticut, New York, Florida and across the East Coast, Ethridge McGann Group team members have a unique opportunity to work with a sophisticated and cosmopolitan clientele while working remotely.

Marketing Internship


    • Graphic design for marketing materials to attract the luxury client

    • Creating email campaigns designed in Canva and Mailchimp

    • Instagram - research/engagement, organizing content 

    • Updating websites for various design clients

    • Organizing images in Dropbox for press submissions

    • Digital Analytics - Tracking social media likes/impressions, website traffic

    • Updating and organizing press lists in google sheets

    • Familiar with and/or willing to learn: Instagram, TikTok, Squarespace, Meta advertising tools, Wordpress, Mailchimp, Google Suite tools, MS excel, Dropbox, Design tools such as Canva, and Communication tools including Slack.

    • Excellent communication skills and highly responsive via email/slack

    • Organized and a great attention to detail

    • Minimum of 10 to 15 hours weekly, available Monday through Friday between 9-4

    • Offer EMG interns hands-on experience in luxury marketing with the opportunity to research and proactively engage in projects of interest to them.

    • EMG interns learn critical marketing tools within design and written communication for a high-end design market.

    • EMG interns gain confidence, professionalism, and team work skills to help them excel in the workplace.

We have hired as an employee a former UNH intern and have hired EMG interns as paid contractors over the years. Ethridge McGann Group has worked with over 20 UNH interns over the course of more than 7 years.

Social Media Marketing Specialist

    • Social Media Management: Create, curate, and publish engaging content across various social media platforms (primarily Instagram) to increase brand awareness, drive traffic, and foster engagement.

    • Content Creation: Develop relevant and compelling content, including posts, graphics, videos, and other multimedia assets, and tailor them to specific social media channels and target audiences.

    • Aware of the Latest Industry Trends: Keep up-to-date with the latest trends, best practices, and emerging technologies in digital marketing and social media to continuously innovate and enhance our services.

    • Analyze: Gather, present, and utilize Instagram analytics in order to encourage account growth and online presence.

    • Digital Native with 0-2 years of experience 

    • Critical thinking skills and attention to detail to creatively solve technical problems.

    • Creative thinker with a passion for storytelling and developing innovative strategies

    • Tech-savvy and passionate about content creation and writing.

    • Strong understanding of social media platforms, content management systems, and digital analytics tools.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to create compelling and engaging content.

    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks effectively, and meet deadlines in a rapidly changing environment.

    • Paid Contract Position - Compensation is variable based on experience and skillset.

    • Time requirement: Approximately 10 hours per week

      • Must be responsive via email during business hours Monday through Friday 8-4 and available for a weekly 1-2 hour Zoom meeting

    • Location: Fully remote based in US EST

  • You will play a vital role in building and maintaining the online presence of our client’s. You will craft stunning visuals and informative posts, reels, and stories that reflect our client’s unique brand identity and voice. By developing and executing social media strategy, you will help achieve business goals, from increasing brand awareness to fostering client relationships.


Marketing Assistant

    • Utilize design software, including canva, to develop branding for clients implemented across digital marketing outlets (instagram, email newsletters, websites), and printed marketing materials. 

    • Maintain and update varying client websites hosted through Squarespace and utilize SEO best practices. Measure website performance using Google Analytics and develop monthly reports for clients.

    • Manage multiple client social media accounts relating to content creation, strategy, analytic reports, and schedule. Stay updated with changes in social media platforms to maximize effectiveness of marketing efforts and adapt strategies accordingly.

    • Provide overall project management for team priorities, ensuring timely delivery of tasks and alignment with organizational objectives. 

    • Implement systems to improve efficiency and management of expanding list of clients and projects through Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets/Google Drive.

    • Assist in developing marketing strategies for varying clients to increase brand awareness and drive engagement 

    • Manage rotating seasonal interns by developing and organizing their projects, directing them on tasks, weekly progress check-ins, and tracking their growth within their role.

    • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant field preferred 

    • Relevant job/ internship/class experience preferred

    • Proficient in Google Suite and Microsoft Excel

    • Experience in softwares such as Canva, Mailchimp, Dropbox

    • Ability to understand website, social media, and email analytics and generate reports 

    • Website experience in Squarespace and SEO knowledge preferred 

    • Excellent communication skills and highly responsive via email/Slack

  • You will play a key role in the fast-paced, day-to-day operations and will be relied upon to execute squarespace web updates, and graphics for email newsletters and social media, designed to attract a luxury audience for our interior designer clients. There is a significant opportunity for growth and to learn PR and Marketing in the luxury market, with remote flexibility in the beautiful southern Maine/seacoast area.
